The modern agglomeration district of Heimberg is situated 551 m above sea level and is the first district in the Aare Valley to belong to the Bernese Oberland. Heimberg, a long extended village nestling between the main Bern-Thun road and the River Aare as well as the motorway, has 5600 inhabitants. We are proud and delighted to offer our population a varied range of activities at the Heimberg leisure center including tennis, squash and miniature golf as well as an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym on the one hand and an extensive shopping center on the other. The "Aarewald" and "Buechwald"(woods) with its striking rock-face provide a varied recreational area for walking.
